After 5 victories in a row, comes the first game loss for the girls of MÜNCHEN BASKET U16w in the Bezirksoberliga 🙁
The girls played home against ESV Staffelsee for the first position in the ranking.
The opponents came with a roster of ten big and fast players to our gym this sunday (10.12.2017). Very motivated to win,
they started the game with an aggressive defense and a fast offense that allow them to dominate in the first quarter (6:16).
We did not give up and after a not so good start, we came back into the game winning the second and the third quarters (18:15, 17:9).
The game was really pleasant and fun to watch. Both teams were fighting on every single ball and were playing a high-level basket
with many fast-breaks and fast motion.
Unfortunately this has not been our day in offense and during the last quarter, despite an amazing defense and good playing, the ball simply refused to go in 🙁
In the end, the opponents won by 9 points (52:61) but we really gave everything we could.
Coach Chiara and Coach Carmen are very proud of her girls, their attitude and their team spirit!
The situation in the league is all totally open, Staffelsee has one victory more than us, but also one more lost.. many other teams
are good and want to play for the first place! Important will be the games in 2018, where we can show how good and motivated we are!
Now, we need a long break to recover and work on defense and condition!
