Last Saturday the girls of MÜNCHEN BASKET D4/U20w had to travel all way to Garmisch for the last game of the season. We knew that this game had no value for us, since we secure the first place in the Kreisliga already we are also very busy with school and so… in the end…only 4 healthy players, plus two injured, could join the game.
This did not stop us, actually it motivated us further and we played a very good game almost managing to take home points. We never gave up, Paula, Maria, Dimitra and Kirsten were fighting like lions on each ball and were helped by Sophie that despite being sick and injured played for 40 minutes without any complain, even scoring 20 points.
Carmen, injured from the bench was motivating and cheering her girls, transmitting a lot of energy in the field.
Coach Chiara could not be more proud that that with her ladies.
The game ended 62:57 for the good opponents that secured this way the second place. We are champions and we deserve it!
And after this giant fatigue, an ice-cream is more than deserved!!!
